The Application – i.Sec Transaction Control
This application and its developers take a proactive approach to user privacy and ensure the necessary steps are taken to protect the privacy of its users throughout their use and interaction with the application.
Information Collection and Use
We collect and use the following information to help improve and secure our application and also protect user banking transactions:
Bank Account Details: We collect, and associate with your bank account, information like your name, email address, phone number and bank account activity. This is to provide audit trail and accountability.
Usage: We collect information related to how you use the application, including actions you take in your account (like approving, rejecting, and reporting suspicious transactions).
We also collect information from and about the devices on which the application is installed. This includes things like IP addresses, the type of device you use, and identifiers associated with your devices. Your devices (depending on their settings) may also transmit location information.
We may share information as discussed below, but we won’t sell it to advertisers or other third parties.
Law Enforcement Agents: We may disclose your information to law enforcements agencies if we determine that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to (a) comply with the law; (b) protect any person from death or serious bodily injury; (c) prevent fraud or abuse of i.Secor our users; or (d) protect i.Sec’s property rights.
Stewardship of your data is critical to us and a responsibility that we embrace. We believe that our users’ data should receive the same legal protections regardless of whether it’s stored on our infrastructure or on their device. We’ll abide by the government request principleswhen receiving, scrutinizing and responding to government requests.
Security: We have a team dedicated to keeping your information secure and continuously testing for vulnerabilities on our application. We also continue to work on features to keep your information safe in addition to things like two-factor authentication, encryption of files at rest, and alerts when unauthorized access is attempted on the repository.
Retention: We’ll retain information we have collected for 10 years as required for financial transaction data regulation or for as long as we need it to provide you the Services. If you uninstall the i.Sec application, no new information will be collected but the previously collected information will be stored are required by law.
Around the world: We may store, process and transmit information in Nigeria, the United States and locations around the world – including those outside your country. Information may also be stored locally on the devices on which the application is installed.
If we are involved in a reorganization, merger, acquisition or sale of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that deal. We will notify you (for example, via a message to the email address associated with your account) of any such deal and outline your choices in that event.
